Why Foster?

Fostering is the heart of our organization. Shelters nationwide struggle to accommodate the influx of dogs, leading many to experience anxiety and stress due to limited mental and physical engagement. These conditions often lead to uncharacteristic behaviors, making it harder for these dogs to find homes and sadly, increasing euthanasia rates due to declining behavior and space constraints. Fostering offers them safety and a nurturing environment, allowing them to adjust while awaiting their forever family. Your home gives them the best chance at finding adoption.

Fostering comes at no cost to you. We cover all care expenses, including veterinary costs for your foster dog.

Ideally, our foster families keep their foster dog until they are adopted. This can be anywhere between 1 month to 1+ year(s). We try our best to match you with a dog that would be compatible to your environment, experience and preferences.

If adopting isn’t feasible at the moment, fostering allows you to experience the joys of having a dog without the lifelong commitment.

Witnessing a dog blossom in a home environment, shedding their fears and embracing their true selves, is an immensely rewarding experience.
